Horsing Around Therapy

We have all been in shock since the Pandemic and it has turned many pet sitting companies upside down but we as pet sitters are resilient business people. We know how to problem- solve and get through the tough times with a focus on
“doing”. We know our business will come back in time. One of my favorite animals to sit are horses and I have a special bond with them. I am fortunate enough to ride once a week at a beautiful, lush green ranch in Sacramento where I train in the English discipline; This ranch is my home away from home and each lesson makes me focus mind, body and brain so I can learn from the horses. Riding is multitasking at its best!

Riding a horse puts you and your horse to the test. Horses are social animals and they need us as much as we need them and it shows when I enter the barn. I hear a friendly whinny and they are always happy to get a pat on the neck or a delicious carrot. At the end of the day, I drive home exhausted and know I worked my entire body and feel like a new person. If you are an animal lover I highly recommend horse therapy, it will brighten your day in ways you cannot imagine.
